There are so many “what if” in our lives which stop us from making life changing mistakes. What will happen if I run in the middle of the highway and dodge the incoming traffic. What will happen if I get in the cage with that lion that has never met me before. What will happen if I jump in that pool filled with alligators and fight them all today. As far-fetched as they may sound, these things resemble some of the real life “what if” that we face when we are considering presenting our idea to improve production to out supervisor or the idea to improve the quality of our product and reducing waste and costs.
Then there are the “what if” I would had spoken to that person that I liked so much? Maybe my life would had been different. “What if” if would had applied to that fellowship? Maybe I would have a better job now. “What if” I would had presented my manuscript to the producer? My book could have been published now.
Those “what if” that stop us from achieving our goals and dreams as they feel like jumping in the middle of highway traffic expecting to dodge incoming traffic.
I face those same “what if” every day, but there are two questions that I either read of heard about that have significantly changed my mind and attitude towards life which I would like to share today.
If you knew that you would die tomorrow what would you do today?
If you know you could not fail, what would you do today?
Those two simple “what if” help me every day push my boundaries, test my knowledge and face my fears. So, what are your “What if”? Face them today, challenge them and you will get to the “Oh Wow” that life has waiting for you.
